On September 11, 2001, 72
members of the law enforcement community made the ultimate sacrifice
during the rescue of thousands of people trapped in the doomed buildings
that comprised the World Trade Center complex.

OFFICERS OF 9/11
THE GIFT
In 2004, WMC,
Inc. in Alsip, IL donated a one of a kind, 5’ tall stainless steel scale
model of the New York World Trade Center Twin Towers situated on a
pentagon shaped base to the North American Police Ski Championships (NAPSC)
in memory of the police officers who lost their lives in the 9/11/01
attack on the Twin Towers. WMC, Inc and it’s employees supplied all the
materials to design, fabricate and assemble (1,135 skilled man-hours)
this tribute piece with the understanding that it will be used it to
raise support dollars to benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers
Memorial Fund, specifically the campaign for the National Law
Enforcement Museum.
MANAGEMENT
The
Twin Towers Initiative is managed by a core group of volunteers from
throughout the USA drawn from the NAPSC participants and supporters,
again allowing all contributions to be directed to National Law
Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund in support of the National Law
Enforcement Museum.
GOALS
The
Twin Towers Initiative Committees have set three basic goals:

Pay tribute
to the police officers who gave their lives on 9/11/01

Raise money
for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund to support the National Law Enforcement Museum commemorating fallen officers

Let us
never forget the threat of terrorism in our lives even today

made to this effort will be donated to National Law Enforcement Officers
Memorial Fund because of generous underwriting donations provided by
NAPSC and it’s participants.
